On an active call screen, select the Transfer button for an unattended transfer, or the Att. Transfer button for an attended transfer. With an attended transfer, you get to speak with the new call recipient before completing the transfer.
Important
- Ensure your PBX or SIP provider offers call transfer for these features to work.
- This article applies only to the Groundwire app. The Acrobits Softphone app does not support call transfer.
Making an Attended Transfer
Use an attended transfer when you transfer a call to another destination but want to speak with this new call recipient first. The first call is put on hold until the transfer is completed successfully.
- On the call screen, select the Att. transfer (Android devices) or the att. transfer (iOS devices)(2) button.

Decide a contact to forward the call to:

Select a contact from the Quickdial, History, Contacts, or Messages tab. Or,

Dial a number in the Keypad tab.

Select the Call button or a contact.

Speak with the new call recipient when the new call is answered.

Select the Transfer button to transfer the call.
Once the transfer call is initiated, the first call is ended.

Making an Unattended Transfer
Use an unattended transfer when you transfer a call to another destination without establishing a conversation with this new call recipient.
- On the call screen, select the Transfer (1) button.
