Updating My Cloud Softphone App Settings

The process of updating the softphone settings after its launch requires going through the Cloud Softphone web portal. Alternatively, the external provisioning method uses an XML file to configure account-level settings.

The Cloud Softphone portal is the primary method for changing settings including settings for the domain and codec order.

Updating Settings through the Web Portal

  1. Log in to the Cloud Softphone portal at providers.cloudsoftphone.com.
  2. On the dashboard, select the softphone project that needs updates.
    The Current version column (1) on the left is the version of the softphone that is already launched.

  3. Go to the Action section in the Current version column, and then select the Create Editable Copy button to version the app for editing.

  4. In the Provisioning options section, select the Edit (3) button to start making changes.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Go to the Action section and select Submit for Review.
  7. Once reviewed and approved, select the Make LIVE button in the Action section.

Updating Settings through External Provisioning

For users using external provisioning, most account-level settings can be adjusted using the account XML.
