If your SIP provider supports SIP SIMPLE, you can send and receive messages with these apps. Select Settings > Accounts > a desired account > Advanced Settings, then enable the SIMPLE option.

On the Main screen:

Android devices - Select
> Settings > Accounts.

iOS devices - Select
> SIP Accounts or Accounts.

On the Accounts screen, select the desired SIP account.

Select Advanced settings.

Enable SIMPLE under the Messaging section.
